President Franklin D. Roosevelt told a news conference the invasion did not mean the war was over.FDR was a real "War President". He didn't go around telling people "Mission Accomplished" when there were a lot of battles to come. He was a Democrat and based his actions on reality. His children enlisted in "his war".
